Breakfast Club

We are pleased to let you know that Springbank Academy is now offering the DFE-funded Free Breakfast Club for children in Reception to Year 6.

Breakfast Club and Wrap-Around Care

Our DFE-funded Breakfast Club is available free of charge from 8:30am each morning for children in Reception to Year 6.

For parents/carers who require childcare before 8:30am, we also offer paid wrap-around care from 8:00am until 8:30am.

Please note that there is no childcare provision before 8:00am. Children must not arrive at school before 8:00am as they will not be supervised and will not be covered by the school's insurance arrangements.

Breakfast will be provided during the Breakfast Club session. To ensure that children have enough time to eat their breakfast, we ask that children arrive promptly.

Booking Arrangements

Due to the demand for our extended services, we operate a booking system for Breakfast Club and wrap-around care.

All places must be booked in advance through MCAS. Please ensure that you book your child's place in advance, including whether you require the paid wrap-around provision from 8:00am.

The DFE-funded Breakfast Club from 8:30am is free of charge.

The cost of the paid wrap-around care from 8:00am–8:30am is £3.00 per child per session or £5.00 per sibling group session.

Absence

If you have booked and paid for a place in the paid wrap-around provision and your child is absent due to illness or a pre-arranged absence, the payment will be carried forward as credit to their next session.

Wrap Around Care 

Wrap Around Care 3.15pm-5.30pm is available for children in Reception to Year 6.

We are pleased to announce that, starting after the February half-term, Springbank Academy will be offering Wrap-Around-Care to support our valued parents and carers. We understand the challenges faced by working families and want to ensure that we provide a safe and nurturing environment for your children beyond regular school hours.

  • Our Wrap-Around-Care program will be available from 3.15pm to 5.30pm each day. We have carefully chosen this time slot to coincide with the typical finishing time of most working parents' jobs.
  • Please see below costing. We know that budgeting is important, and we have endeavoured to keep the cost as low as possible to accommodate as many families as we can.
  • We believe it is an excellent opportunity for your children to unwind, have fun, and enjoy a variety of activities in a supportive setting.
  • Your child will be provided with a variety of snacks and drinks.
  • Payments will only be accepted via the My Child at School platform.
  • We highly encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and enrol your child in our Wrap-Around-Care program. It will not only provide them with the chance to engage in structured activities and further their learning, but it will also alleviate some of the scheduling and logistical challenges that come with juggling work and family life.
  • Booking form and Registration form will be available on the school website for you to complete. You can either email or print a copy to the school office. These must be completed before your child can join the Wrap-Around-Care sessions.

Prices:

  • £7.50 per day per child.
  • £35.00 for the week per child.

  • Any child in wrap around on a Tuesday will benefit from a one-hour coaching cricket session with Chance2Shine from Nottingham County Cricket Club.

The PE team will be organising football matches against other local schools for both boys and girls. Please keep an eye out for invites and please ask your child to speak to Miss Keetch/ Mr Cannon to express an interest.
