School Day & Timings 

The start and finish times of our school day are annually reviewed by the Governing Body, who take into account feedback from staff and parents, and government guidelines.

Government guidelines suggest that children should be taught for a minimum core of 32.5 hours per week.

Childcare before and after school is available from local nurseries and child minders in the area.

Start and Finish

  • 8:00 - 8.50am - School opens for Breakfast Hub.
  • 8:45am - Doors open for children.
  • 9:00am - Doors close and registration is taken.
  • 3:15pm - End of the day.

Breaks 

All break times are on a rota.

  • KS1 have a break of 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the afternoon.
  • KS2 have a break of 15 minutes in the morning.

Lunch Time

  • Lunch time is 12.00pm until 12.45pm.

After School

  • Our Study Support programme is currently being updated.

Nursery Times

Morning Nursery

  • 8:30am until 11:30am.
  • Doors open for collection at 11:30am.

Afternoon Nursery

  • 12:30pm until 3:30pm.
  • Doors open for collection at 3:20pm.

Assemblies

A typical weekly assembly timetable is shown below. Any special assemblies will appear on the Annual Planner/Newsletter with an invitation for parents/carers to attend.

  • Monday - 2.45pm Golden and Attendance Assembly - Led by Mrs Barrett - Parents welcome to join us.
  • Tuesday - 10:30am Visitor/Faith Assembly - Led by Miss Keetch and a visitor from the local community.
  • Wednesday - 2:55pm Praise and sing Assembly - Led by Miss Leonard and Mrs Salloway.
  • Thursday - 2.55pm STARS Assembly.

Friday Reading for life Assembly

Each week we will be looking at books by different authors and finding out more about them through discussion, questioning and drama.
