The Work Related Learning programme has been constructed to broaden the children's horizons and aspirations, with the end learning point being: no pupil is at a disadvantage, everyone has the capacity to be what they want.  

 

We aim to build a growing awareness within each child of themselves, their capabilities and help them scan the horizon to open up the world of work available to them.

We want to change perceptions.

We want to show what types of employment are possible to persue.

We need to inspire.

 

Our WRL programme is implemented across school to develop knowledge, skills and understanding that we feel will be useful in the future workplace. The children's learning will be facilitated through film and visitors that are invited into school from different trades and professions and the building up of 'soft skills' for the workplace.
